She attended St. Croix Country Day School, where she discovered her second love, acting, which drove her to follow her dream to attend Brown University in Providence, RI. She graduated in 2013 with a BA in Theatre Arts and Performance Studies and a Minor in Music.
Upon graduation, Becky was awarded Brown’s Weston Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre. She also studied abroad at the London Dramatic Academy. She has performed in many musicals and productions, including her one-woman show A Night with Lady Day (as Billie Holiday), RENT, Aida and The Little Mermaid. Two-time recipient of the New England Urban Music Awards (Best Caribbean Female and Best Caribbean Single/CD for “My Love is Real”) in 2014, she performs with Lion Eye Music, Natural Element, and Mystic Jammers, to name a few, as a vocalist, steel pannist and recording artist. She is a frequent performer of gospel as a soloist with the cross-cultural, multi-generational RPM Voices of Rhode Island.
