BAREFOOT IN THE PARK – a comedy by Neil Simon

Corie Bratter and Paul Bratter are newlyweds settling into their first home in New York City, a fifth-floor walkup with bad plumbing. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. When Corie decides to set up her anxious mother with their peculiar neighbor, Mr. Velasco, everything that can go wrong, does. In the course of the wild adventure that follows, Corie complains that Paul is too staid, too boring. She suggests that he become more spontaneous, running “barefoot in the park,” for example, as Paul comes to grips with how very different they are from each other.

Dreamgirls is an award-winning musical based upon the show business aspirations and successes of R&B acts such as The Supremes, The Shirelles, James Brown, Jackie Wilson and others. The musical follows the story of a young female singing trio called “The Dreams,” who become music superstars.

Advertising executive Danny Laws is having a Devil of a time. He’s on the verge of losing his agency’s biggest client, along with his job and his reputation as Manhattan’s savviest ad man. When things look bleakest, he’s offered a deal that could save his hide but cost him his soul. What begins as a simple Faustian contract turns into the hottest account Danny could imagine!

FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS – a comedy by Alan Ball

The play is set at the home of the bride in Tennessee during the newly married couple’s overdone wedding reception. The five bridesmaids have found refuge in the room of the sister of the bride. The women come to realize, among other things, that, despite their differences, they have more in common with each other than any of them do with the bride.
