The Truth Behind our Hidden Stories

Caribbean Community Theatre continues its 41st season with THE TRUTH BEHIND OUR HIDDEN STORIES – an original theatrical creation written and performed by Melody E. Harris, which also includes readings by actors Sayeeda Carter, Lionel Downer, Rebekah Hughston, Sherri Poreé and Justin Smith.
This show is a theatrical presentation of comedy and drama which captures a modern-day perspective told by a young girl in her grandmother’s attic of altered, hidden and untold stories and folktales of African and African American history, including evidence dating back centuries before Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the “New World.” God’s presence is presented throughout the entire timeline.
There are only three (3) performances of The Truth Behind our Hidden Stories at CCT: Friday and Saturday at 8 PM, January 16 & 17, 2026, and final performance at 4 PM on Sunday, January 18th.

Tickets are $20 for adults; $18 for seniors (age 65+), and $15 for college students and CCT members; and may be purchased at the CCT box office prior to each show, which opens 45 minutes before curtain.
Performances are held at the Caribbean Community Theatre at #18 Estate Orange Grove in Christiansted, St. Croix.
CCT productions are jointly supported by a grant from the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
