Caribbean Community Theatre opens its 39th season with The Tin Woman, a play by Sean Grennan (November 3 – 18, 2023).
Heather McRae directs the cast of Carisma and Serena Bishop, Malerie Gleason, Paul Knipler, Charlie O’Connor, Linda Pleichner, and Patricia Scott.
There are seven performances over three weekends of The Tin Woman at CCT: November 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, and one Sunday matinee at 4 PM on November 12, 2023.
After receiving a lifesaving heart transplant, Joy struggles to accept this second chance. Unsure of her worth, she slips into a downward spiral. In an act of desperation, she reaches out to the family of the heart donor, and when they invite her into their home, we begin to see how their stories and their lives intertwine and connect. The Tin Woman shows us what it means to heal as a family. It is a portrait of grief and loss, but also one of deep love. Based on a true story, the play uses humor and pathos to explore death, healing, forgiveness, and what it means to be given new life.
Cast on the couch; seated L-R: Charlie O’Connor, Carisma Bishop, Serena Bishop, Patricia Scott; standing L-R: Linda Pleichner, Malerie Gleason, Paul Knipler.
