As Ronald Reagan enters the White House, five aging practitioners of the oldest profession are faced with a diminishing clientele, increased competition for their niche market, and aching joints. With wit, compassion, and humor, they struggle to find and learn new tricks as they fight to stay in “the Life.”
Five actresses have been chosen to play the roles of the aging but still saucy ladies who have been plying their trade in NYC for 50 years, ever since they were booted out of New Orleans by the “feds.”

Eileen Bishop Des Jardins and Deborah Phillips will co-direct The Oldest Profession, and Patrick Baron will provide piano accompaniment for the performers.
