MUSICAL THE SPITFIRE GRILL OPENS AT CCT

Caribbean Community Theatre’s production of the musical The Spitfire Grill opens on Friday, February 7, 2019 and runs for two weekends through Sunday, February 16th.

The Spitfire Grill, with music and book by James Valcq, and lyrics and book by Fred Alley, is based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff, and tells the story of a feisty parolee who follows her dreams to a small town in Wisconsin. She soon finds a place for herself working at Hannah’s Spitfire Grill, which is for sale. As luck would have it, there are no takers for the only eatery in the depressed town, so newcomer Percy suggests that Hannah raffle it off. Soon, mail is arriving by the wheelbarrow full and things are definitely cookin’ at the Spitfire Grill.

The Spitfire Grill is directed by Eileen Bishop Des Jardins, with music direction by Philippa Smith-Tyler. Cast in this show are Neil Admirari, Denise Blanchette, William Cooper, Abby Moon, Keith Moore, Judith Rodriguez, and Téa Wittmann.

The band accompanying the singers consists of Philippa Smith-Tyler on piano, Tom Guthrie and Jim Reese on guitar, and Paul Knipler on keyboard.
